Hola amigos,
He visto unos ejemplares de paso fino en el exterior que me gustaría utilizar en algunas yeguas.
¿Sabe alguno de ustedes cual es la normatividad vigente que rige la importación de semen fresco?
¿Ha tenido alguno de ustedes experiencia con este tipo de operación?
¿Hay alguna empresa o algún veterinario que se especialice en este tipo de logística?

Requisitos de semen equino desde USA.
El semen Equino estará amparado por un Certificado Zoosanitario, expedido por la Autoridad Oficial de Sanidad Animal de Estados Unidos., en el que conste el cumplimiento de los siguientes requisitos:
/The equine semen must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by the Animal Health Official authority of the United States complying with the following requirements:
1. El certificado deberá contener el nombre y dirección del consignador y consignatario, nombre y direccion del centro de inseminación/unidad de inseminación y donde fue colectado el semen y la identificación completa de los animales donadores./The certificate must come with the name and address of the consignor and consignee, name and address of the insemination center/unit, place of collection of the semen and complete identification of the donors.
2. Que Estados Unidos está libre de peste equina, durina, muermo, linfangitis epizoótica, encefalitis japonesa, viruela equina,encefalitis equina venezolana y enfermedad de Borna./The United States is free of African horse sickness,dourine,glanders, epizootic lymphangitis, Japaneseencephalitis, equine pox, Venezuelan equine encephalitis, and Borna disease.
3. Que el material seminal proviene de reproductores procedentes de explotaciones en donde no se han comprobado ni clínicamente ni por laboratorio, durante los 120 días anteriores a la toma, las siguientes enfermedades: Estomatitis vesicular, Influenza equina, Anemia infecciosa equina, Rinoneumonitis/Aborto viral equino, Arteritis viral equina, leptospirosis, Metritis contagiosa equina, Exantema genital, West Nile, Encefalitis equina del Este y Oeste y Salmonella abortus equi.
/The seminal material comes from stallions originating on premises in which during the past 120 days no casesof the following diseases have been diagnosed clinically or by laboratory tests: Vesicular stomatitis, Equine Influenza, Equine Infectious Anemia, Equine rhinopneumonitis, Equine viral abortion, Equine viral artheritis, Leptospirosis, Equine contagious metritis, Genital exanthema, West Nile virus, Eastern and Western Equine Encephalitis, Equine salmonella abortusequi.
4. El equino o los equinos donantes no han reportado ni clínicamente ni por laboratorio casos de Salmonella abortus equi durante los 12 meses previos a la toma del semen./The donor horse(s) have not been reported clinically or by laboratory tests of having cases of Salmonella abortus equi during the 12 months previous to the semen collection.
5. El equino o los equinos donantes, fueron aislados de aquellos que no se sometieron a pruebas de laboratorio desde la primera prueba hasta la toma del semen./The donor horse(s) were isolated from those horses that were not subject to laboratory tests from the first
Test to the semen collection.
6. El semen procedente de los equinos o del equino donantes fueron negativos a metritis contagiosa mediante prueba de identificación del agente en cultivo bacteriológico./The semen from the donor horse(s) was negative to equine contagious metritis by the identification of the agent through bacteriological culture.
7. El equino o los equinos donantes fueron negativos a las siguientes pruebas de laboratorio en los 30 días previos a la toma del material seminal :/The donor horse(s) were negative to the following tests during the 30 days previous to the semen collection:
- Rinoneumonitis equina: Seroneutralización. Si los animales fueron vacunados contra Rinoneumonitis equina, no se exige la prueba serológica, pero se deberá certificar la vacunación, informando tipo de vacuna utilizada y la fecha de aplicación./Equine rhinopneumonitis: Seroneutralization. If the animals were vaccinated against Equine rhinopneumonitis, no serological test will be requested but the vaccination certificate will be requested informing the type of vaccine used and the date of the application.
- Arteritis equina:Aislamiento viral en semen y Seroneutralización. Si los animales fueron vacunados contra Arteritis viral, se debe anexar certificado de resultado seronegativo (prueba de neutralización) previo a la vacunación./Equine artheritis: Viral isolation in semen and Seroneutralization. If the animals were vaccinated against Equine artheritis a certificate with the negative serum result (neutralization test) before vaccination must be included.
- Anemia Infecciosa Equina: Inmunodifusión en gel de agar (prueba de Coggins)./Equine Infectious Anemia: Agar gel Inmunodifusion (Coggins test).
- Metritis contagiosa equina: Tres pruebas de cultivo espaciadas siete (7) días para identificación del agente, en el término de los 30 días anteriores a la toma del material seminal./Equine contagious metritis: Three tests with a seven (7) day interval for the identification of the agent within the 30 days previous to the semen collection.
8. Solamente se aceptan importaciones de semen de reproductores donantes que hayan sido sometidos a todos los exámenes descritos anteriormente, los cuales deberán ser realizados en laboratorios oficiales del país de origen, con resultados negativos./Only imports of semen from donor stallions will be accepted if they have been submitted to all the previous tests that will be processed with negative results in official laboratories of the country of origin.
9. Ninguna de las pajillas provienen de animales de predios que se encuentran bajo cuarentena estatal o federal por causa de Metritis contagiosa equina u otra enfermedad de los equinos infectocontagiosa ./None of the semen straws originate from animals in premises that are under state or federal quarantine for Equine contagious metritis or for any other infectious or contagious equine disease.
10. Que el material seminal no representa riesgo de transmitir enfermedades contagiosas./The semen material does not represent a risk for transmission of contagious diseases.
11. Cada despacho de semen deberá venir acompañado de la certificación oficial correspondiente.
Las pajillas o ampollas se han identificado mediante un código de acuerdo con las normas del país exportador, con la fecha de recolección impresa./Each semen dispatch must be accompanied by the official corresponding certificate. The straws or ampoules have been identified by a code with the collection date marked according to the regulations of the exporting country.
12. El termo o termos para el transporte del semen deben ser nuevos y desinfectados con una solución de formalina al 10%, precintados y sellados por la Autoridad de Sanidad Animal, antes de autorizar su transporte al lugar de embarque./The thermos for the semen transportation must be new and disinfected in a 10% formalin solution, sealed and marked by the Animal Health Authority before the its transportation to the embarkation port is authorized.
13. Las yeguas inseminadas con el material seminal autorizado en la presente importación, serán sometidas a vigilancia por el servicio de Sanidad Animal de Colombia./The mares inseminated with the seminal material authorized in the present importation will be submitted to surveillance by the Animal Health Service of Colombia.
14. El importador deberá enviar una relación de las yeguas inseminadas con el material seminal autorizado en la presente importación en la cual deberá consignarse: Identificación completa y la ubicación exacta de los animales./The importer must deliver a list of the mares inseminated with the authorized seminal material in the present importation. This list must include: Complete identification and exact location of the animals.
Todos los certificados vendrán en su lengua de origen y en español, para el caso de necesitarse traducción será realizado por un ente acreditado oficialmente./All the certificates will be issued in the language of origin and in Spanish. If a translation is needed it must be done by an official translator. EBS 17/11/09
